Terms of Use

Last updated: [date] · Draft — see the note at the bottom before relying on this page.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of Memorize Medicine (the "Platform"), operated by [legal entity name] ("Memorize", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use Memorize

Memorize is built for medical students, residents and clinicians studying for exams and coursework. You must provide accurate registration details (name, phone number, email) and are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You must be at least [minimum age] years old, or have a parent/guardian's consent, to create an account.

2. Courses, pricing and payment

Courses are sold individually — there is no subscription. Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout. Payment is verified manually: you submit a receipt for your transfer, and enrollment is granted once support approves it (some payment methods may be approved automatically). Submitting a receipt does not guarantee enrollment; a receipt can be denied if it cannot be verified, and you will be told why.

One free trial course may be available to new accounts, limited as described at signup.

3. Refunds and cancellations

[Fill in: your actual refund policy — e.g. whether a purchase is refundable before/after course access begins, how a student requests one, and any time limit.]

4. Course content and your license to use it

Course videos, flashcards, question banks and any downloadable materials are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial study only. You may not record, redistribute, resell, or share your account or course access with anyone else. Video lectures are streamed rather than downloaded specifically to protect tutors' content from redistribution.

5. Tutors and messaging

Tutors on Memorize are independent clinicians and instructors. Messaging between students and tutors is for course-related questions; abusive, harassing or off-topic use of messaging or announcements may result in restricted access.

6. Acceptable use

7. Availability

We aim to keep the Platform available but don't guarantee uninterrupted access — maintenance, connectivity issues, or circumstances outside our control can cause downtime.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Platform changes. Continuing to use Memorize after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes will be flagged on this page.

9. Contact

Questions about these Terms: [support contact].

10. Governing law

[Fill in: which country/jurisdiction's law governs these Terms, and where disputes are resolved.]

Note for the owner: this is a working draft written from what the Platform actually does today (course-by-course pricing, manual receipt verification, one free trial, streaming-only video) — not a substitute for legal review. The highlighted fields need your input (entity name, minimum age, refund policy, jurisdiction) before this is relied on as a binding Terms of Use page; a lawyer familiar with your market is worth the cost before launch.
