These terms apply when you use an academy portal built on Memorize Medicine, as a student or as a member of the academy's staff (admin, tutor or support).
Each portal is run by the academy whose name and logo appear on it ("the Academy"). Memorize Medicine ("we") provides the technology behind it. By creating an account or using the portal, you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy for Academy Portals.
01Who does what
- The Academy runs its portal. It chooses the courses and content, sets the prices, collects payments (directly or through us), decides refunds and answers its students.
- We build and maintain the platform: hosting, security, the apps and the tools.
- For anything about a course, a price, a payment or a refund, contact your academy first. Its contacts are on the portal's Help page.
02Your account
- Give accurate details when you sign up and keep your password private. Your account is for you only.
- Course content can be opened on a limited number of devices, to stop one account being shared. If you change your phone or computer, ask your academy's support to reset it.
- The Academy or Memorize Medicine may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
- You must be 18 or older to create an account or use the portal.
- You can delete your account at any time, in the app or on the website: sign in, open the menu and choose "Delete my account". The Privacy Policy for Academy Portals explains what is deleted and what is kept. Deleting your account does not give a refund by itself, so ask your academy about a refund first.
03Prices, payments and refunds
- Prices, discounts, payment methods and refund rules are set by the Academy and shown on its portal. They can be different from the rules for Memorize Medicine's own courses.
- You pay by transfer and upload the receipt. Some receipts are approved automatically, the rest are checked by the academy's staff.
- You can also pay the Academy directly, for example in cash at its office. Its staff then open the course for you or give you an invitation code. They record the amount you paid, and may add a photo of the receipt.
- A discount can cover one course only, or every course and package. The portal shows which prices are discounted.
- Refunds are decided by the Academy under its own policy. Memorize Medicine's refund policy does not apply to academy courses.
- Nothing is sold inside the Memorize Medicine apps from Google Play or the App Store. In those apps you open a course with an invitation code from your academy, or by uploading the enrollment proof your academy gave you, which is checked the same way as a receipt.
04Course content
- Course content belongs to the Academy or its tutors. You may use it for your own study only.
- Do not copy, record, download, share or sell it. The portal uses protection tools, and an account found sharing content can be closed without a refund.
- The Academy is responsible for its content being accurate and lawful.
05For academy staff
- Staff accounts are created by the Academy. Use yours only for your work for the Academy.
- Use student information only for teaching, support and payments, and keep it private.
- When you open a course for a student, record the amount they really paid, or choose Waive the fee.
- Keep admin access to yourself. Important actions in the portal are recorded.
06Fair use
Do not misuse the portal. That means no attempts to break in, copy the site's data in bulk, overload it, or get around content protection or device limits, and no harassment of students or staff.
Do not send abusive, hateful or unlawful messages or feedback. The Academy and Memorize Medicine can remove any message or feedback and suspend the account that sent it. To report a message, contact your academy's support or write to [email protected].
07Availability
We work to keep every portal running, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or an outage at one of our providers.
08Responsibility
Your agreement for a course is with the Academy. The Academy is responsible for its courses, prices, payments, refunds and its dealings with you. Memorize Medicine is not a party to that agreement and is not responsible for those matters. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses.
09If a portal closes
If an academy stops using Memorize Medicine, its portal may close. The Academy is responsible for telling its students and for any refunds it owes them.
10Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. If you keep using the portal after an update, you accept it.

12The apps, Google and Apple
- The Memorize Medicine apps for Android and iOS follow these terms too.
- These terms are between you and the Academy and Memorize Medicine, not Google or Apple. Google and Apple are not responsible for the apps, their content, support or maintenance, or any claim about them (for example a product claim, a legal or regulatory claim, or a claim that the app breaks someone's rights). We handle those.
- If an app does not work as these terms say, you may tell Apple or Google, and they may refund what you paid for the app itself (the apps are free). They have no other warranty duty.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms for the iOS app and may enforce them.
- You confirm that you are not in a country under a United States government embargo and not on a United States list of prohibited or restricted parties. You also follow the rules of the store you downloaded the app from.
